An exciting opportunity for Arizona clay artists is coming up soon, NCECA, the National Council on Education in the Ceramic Arts has its 43rd annual conference right here in downtown Phoenix April 8-11, 2009.

Desert Dragon Pottery will be hosting a pre-conference April 6 and 7, 2009-Five Masters of Naked Raku workshop with Wally Asselberghs, Linda and Charlie Riggs, Will Jacobson and Eduardo Lazo and have a concurrent Naked Raku exhibition and a post-conference workshop Paperclay with Graham Hay. Details will be added as available.

Desert Dragon Pottery is a professional pottery studio located in the vicinity of Happy Valley Road and Interstate-17 of north Phoenix. A sales showroom is available on site with a custom line of functional, beautiful pottery, clay art and tile work on display.

Classes and workshops are offered for individuals or groups. Desert Dragon Pottery also has an open studio policy for all students and interested artists to visit and work alongside the residents and other class participants.

We also offer custom work, creating one of a kind pieces to order and tailor-made designs for larger quantities. To see examples of custom designs or to discuss a special order, email Mishy or call 602-690-6956.
